New South Wales is home to a broad and diverse history of transport heritage, spanning a significant collection across the state. Many items from the THNSW Collections are on loan and displayed at these locations for public enjoyment. More than 30 independent volunteer, not-for-profit groups across the state are dedicated to keeping our transport heritage alive. They span regularly open museums, operators of heritage assets, and enthusiast groups focused on conservation and preservation of regional assets. Transport Heritage NSW is proud to support these groups in their efforts through assistance, custody agreements for collection items, as well as funding and grants through the Transport Heritage Grants Program.
