Regional NSW
The railways brought to life regional NSW and formed the backbone for connecting country dwellers to urban centres.
Railways were eagerly sought by farmers and settlers in the interior of the state. New lines spread out in stages, dictated by a mixture of lobbying, planning, funding and necessity.
Across the state, a range of custodians and special interest groups continue this legacy by caring for and sharing our state's transport heritage.
