Showcasing our state's transport heritage
The Transport Heritage Grants Program aims to help the NSW community rediscover the culture, events and people that shaped transport over the past 160 years, as well as assist with the restoration and conservation of NSW’s valuable heritage assets.
Applicants can apply for grants of up to $15,000, with one grant awarded each year of up to $50,000.
Categories
Applications are accepted from heritage organisations and individuals in four categories

Restoration, reconstruction or preservation of a heritage transport item

Exhibition, interpretation, education or publication relating to heritage transport

Study, consultation, report or review that will assist in managing a heritage transport place or item in NSW or the ACT

Audience development, accessibility, and inclusion

2023 Grants
Projects awarded grants in the 2023 Transport Heritage Grants include the restoration of locomotive 3016, digitisation of 16mm films, publication of the book Duck the Hassle, and restoration of SMR Class 10 Locomotive
